They Love Outdoor Living

outdoor living, camping stoveMy husband and I have friends who find that when summer rolls around that outdoor living is the only way to go. Granted, that doesn’t mean that outdoor living has them literally sleeping in tents every single night and that they never go inside, but it does mean that they spend as much of their summer outside as humanly possible. In fact, I’d heard that they needed a new... Read More

We May Have Gone Hungry Without the Camping Stove

camping stove, outdoor campingWhen my best friend and her husband suggested in March that we do some outdoor camping this year during the summer, I have to admit that I was the last person to get excited about it. I'm a city girl, and my idea of roughing it is a four-star hotel, but since they were all so enthusiastic about it, I thought it could possibly be fun. The guys started scouting places to do... I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve never been a fan of camp food so I... Read More

Queen of the Camp Kitchen thanks to Camping Stove

camping stoveThis past weekend when we went camping with friends for the 4th weekend, I was in charge of the food. I love to cook and they all figured they could put me in charge of the camping stove and in spite of the primitive surroundings that I could whip up something great. They were right, of course. My husband and I found the camping stove online not too long ago for a great price... Read More

Not Going Camping Without a Camping Stove

camping stoveMy husband and I have decided that this summer we are going to spend some time outdoors camping, so yesterday I decided to go online and see if I could find a camping stove that we could take along with us. At first he brought up the fact that we could build a fire and cook our food over the fire, and as much as I like the sound of roughing it, I really don’t like the idea... Read More

Camping Stove was Too Rusty to Use

camping stove

When my husband and I pulled out the camping stove a few days ago in order to get it and the rest of our gear together for an upcoming camping trip, we both looked at each other and shook our head in disbelief. I knew we hadn’t done any camping last year, but I really didn’t remember that our camping stove was in such dire need of being replaced. When my husband opened the... Read More

This Time I Ordered a Larger Camping Stove

camping stove, camping stove

I was going through some of our camping equipment in order to get ready for weekends away this summer and I noticed that we need a new camping stove. I don’t remember it being rusty last year, but when I asked my husband how long we’ve had the camping stove; he said that it was at least 10 years, maybe even longer. I’d say that we’ve definitely gotten our money’s worth out... Read More

First Aid Kit is Important when Outdoor Camping

outdoor camping, camping stoveMy husband and I want to take our family outdoor camping. I have never been and would like to go with my kids before they are grown and gone. It would be a good way to spend time together without distractions and we would leave all electronics at home. I would really like to do some hiking while outdoor camping, and find some springs or rivers to swim in while out... Read More

Outdoor Living Is Amazing

camping stove, outdoor living

I had the opportunity of a life time last year. I was able to live outside all summer, in the beautiful little town of Ruby, Alaska. Ruby is a small fishing village made up mostly of Native Alaskans. It is a beautiful and special place that is for sure, one that I wont soon forget. Outdoor living changed my whole perspective on subisitance living and taking care of ones... Read More

My Camping Stove Helped Me Cook the Most Delicious Meals!

camping stove
Every summer, my long-term boyfriend, Travis, and I go on a romantic retreat to the foothills. We always have a great time talking by the fire, bird-watching, and even climbing trees! Travis and I began planning for our last trip the week before we were going to head out of town. We had acquired almost everything that we would need for our camping trip. The only thing we... I Love Cooking Outdoors On My Camping Stove

camping stove

Each time I go camping, I make it a point to focus on my camping stove. I don't really have a camping stove, but rather a cooking area. However, it does look much like a regular stove you would see in a home. I love cooking outside, so my camping stove gets a lot of my attention.

I start building my camping stove even before I get my tent together. This is so I can have a... Read More

Camping Stove Will Get More Use on Patio

camping stove, outdoor livingWhile I love outdoor living, I don’t get out into a tent nearly enough. This year, I’m making it a necessity to get into the desert, hike some new dusty trails and explore the great expanse of non-urbanized terrain outside Southern California cities at least once a month. Even a night out under the stars is great way to recharge the batteries. We have recently been getting... Read More

Cooking Great Meals with Camping Stove

camping stove, outdoor camping

There is no reason why a great meal cannot be cooked on a camping stove. It's just like cooking over the gas stove at home. I have an old set of pots, pans and a great cast iron skillet that are used specifically for the camping stove. When preparing family meals while outdoor camping I like to take my time. I am not opposed to cutting up vegetables, potatoes and simmering... Read More

Love These Hand Warmers for Outdoor Camping and Home, Too

outdoor camping, camping stoveI love the Internet for many reasons, and one of the biggest is the online shopping for virtually anything. I buy a lot of things online and today when I was shopping for a new camping stove, I ran across these hand warmers that I was so glad to see. I used to have several of these years ago and I know how convenient they are for outdoor camping and at home for a multitude... Read More

The Idea Of Summer Outdoor Camping Is Very Appealing Right Now

outdoor camping, camping stoveWe have had a hard winter this year here in Maryland and even now there are several feet of snow on the ground outside. It really is too cold to go very far and more snow is forecast early next week. Right now the idea of summer and outdoor camping seems like a dream. I would love nothing more than to be outdoor camping in the woods with my husband and step-grandkids. I... Read More

Fishing and Outdoor Camping

outdoor camping, camping stove

My grandkids got a taste of fishing and outdoor camping last summer. They took to it all quite naturally. They even put their own bait on the fishing lines and helped clean the fish for eatin'. Every time I have see my grandkids since that trip last summer it is all they talk about. They are begging to go fishing and outdoor camping again. I have told them as soon as the... Read More

New Backpacking Tent for Outdoor Camping Fits the Bill

outdoor camping, camping stoveThis weekend we're planning on going outdoor camping because we got our new tent yesterday. The weather is going to be perfect in the lower Sonoran desert, and I'm getting the camping gear ready today for a three day weekend. We ordered a backpacking tent because we might start hoofing it again instead of car camping and liked all the features of this tent for outdoor... Read More

Dutch Oven and Camping Stove

camping stove

There is nothing like a homemade stew made in the dutch oven over the camping stove. Imagine retuning to your campsite after a hardy hike to the aroma of a freshly made stew. The camping stove is fired up and the dutch oven sets on top with the boiling meal. I can smell it myself right now!

When cooking on the camping stove I make sure to bring plenty of propane.... Read More

New camping stove makes grilling when on trips easy as pie!

outdoor camping, camping stoveI am one of those very avid and happy campers that loves to take as many outdoor camping trips as I can squeeze into my schedule every year. Lucky for me, I live in Arizona, so there are many times throughout the year that I can enjoy outdoor camping. I recently bought a new camping stove online for a great bargain, as my old one was shot and I was getting sick of only... Read More
